AGAWALI SILICA Sand Mine is a class producer of silica sand and a wholly owned by SHIVALIK SILICA.The mine was sanctioned and allotted by DMG in favour of Veena Joshi in 1974 and in 2008 this lease was transferred and brought into continuous operation by SHIVALIK SILICA.
SHIVALIK SILICA Sand Mine is also global exporter of silica sand and has the highest production of silica sand in Rajasthan. SHIVALIK SILICA Sand Mine lies on the Bayana-Bharatpur State Highway of Rajasthan, approximately 179km north of Jaipur, 75 Km From Agra the Wonder Heritage, and 70 Km from Mathura the Mythological Heritage.

About Us
Operated since 1974, the SHIVALIK SILICA Sand Mine Site covers a lease of around 49.56 hectare and has a significant untapped resources of silica sand.
The SHIVALIK SILICA Sand mining leases cover land owned by the Principal owners (consisting of the JBV Mining Solution and IPMS groups).

Operations
MINING OPERATIONS
Mining cannot commence until approval from the traditional owners, environmental Clearance obtained from the SEIAA RAJASTHAN, flora and fauna survey and a drilling survey of dunes completed.
The vegetation and a 300mm layer of topsoil is taken first for seed removal to assist in regeneration.
Silica sand is then removed by front end loader and transported for washing by either conveyor belt or slurry line. Impurities, rocks and vegetation are removed by an extensive washing and filtering process before the graded sand can then be sent to the wharf for loading and export.
Silica Sand Manufacturers

Water Purirfication
Silica sand serves as a crucial element in water purification processes. Its unique properties, including high porosity and chemical inertness, make it an effective filtration medium. In water treatment plants, silica sand is commonly used in rapid gravity and slow sand filtration systems. Its ability to trap and remove impurities, sediment, and suspended particles ensures the production of clean and safe drinking water. As water passes through layers of silica sand, contaminants are physically and chemically trapped, promoting the removal of turbidity and enhancing the overall quality of treated water. Silica sand's role in water purification highlights its significance in safeguarding public health.
Glass
GLASS BOTTLE MAKING silica sand is the primary component of all types of standard and specialty glass, particularly so for the photovoltaic industry. It provides the essential SiO2 component of glass formulation – its chemical purity is the primary determinant of colour, clarity and strength. High-grade silica sand contains a high portion of silica (over 98% SiO2) and is used for applications other than construction aggregates
