39th Mine Safety Week Program Concludes under the supervision of Mine Safety Directorate, Ajmer Region–1 & 2
Bayana. The Shivalik Silica Mines premises echoed with mine-safety awareness on Monday morning. The 39th Mine Safety Week was inaugurated under the supervision of Mine Safety Directorate, Ajmer Region–1 & 2 by hoisting the Safety Flag. Executive Director Nitin Singhal hoisted the flag and conveyed a message of commitment toward safety. As soon as the flag was hoisted, the entire premises resonated with safety slogans. Singhal said that Shivalik Silica has always maintained a distinct identity in the mining sector by following safety standards and procedures. He added that in the coming years, it is their resolve to raise these standards even higher so that every worker gets a safe, clean, and disciplined workplace.
After the flag hoisting, Mine Manager B.N. Choudhary administered the safety oath to the workers. He said that safety rules are not just a formality but a responsibility toward the life of every worker and their family. Choudhary emphasized vigilance at the workplace, discipline, and the mandatory use of safety equipment.
This year’s theme for Safety Week is “Safe Workplace – Developed India.” Manager G.S. Hada stated that an accident-free environment in industries is not possible without adopting safety measures. Cleanliness, housekeeping, regular maintenance of machinery, and strict adherence to safety rules are top priorities of the institution.
On the first day of Safety Week, safety circular distribution, safety guidance sessions for machine operators, and risk identification awareness programs were conducted. In the coming days, poster exhibitions, safety speech competitions, disaster management mock drills, and medical check-up camps will also be organized. Senior officers, engineers, technical staff, and a large number of workers were present at the event. All participants pledged to ensure an accident-free environment and to make the Safety Week a success.
